Project Description
Design for a new town square complemented by the adjacent renovated Miners' Institute.  Creation of a forum for civic cultural events, an outside foyer for the institute and local shops and a site for local markets. Development of an uncluttered space for flexible use, consisting of a high quality floor landscape of natural stone.  Location for a commissioned public artwork.  Elements include a contemporary suite of street furniture, sculpture lighting, trees and swathes of planting to encourage relaxed enjoyment by the public.
