MacRosty Park Historic Restoration Masterplan

Client
Perth & Kinross Council

Project Description
The preparation of master plan proposals, public consultation exhibition material and detailed costs for the development of a Historic Restoration and Development Plan for MacRosty Park, Crieff. The process involved research into the history of the park, extensive consultation and community events, organized along with the 'Friends of the Park' group and preparation of masterplan layout and design details. The proposals were presented at a well attended community meeting. Full detailed costing were prepared for the final agreed master plan and a summary report produced. The master plan and supporting information will support an application to the Heritage Lottery Fund for Public Parks Initiative funding.

Key Issues
Engagement and partnership working with the local community was vital to the success of the application to the Heritage Lottery Fund. The development of the final master plan was progressed through a series of meetings with local groups to ensure that the outcomes reflect local need and will engender a sense of 'ownership' of the project.
