We currently have an opportunities within the practice for a Project Engineer / Senior Technician working out of our Edinburgh office, and a Senior Civil Design Engineer based in our Glasgow office.

Project Engineer / Senior Technician (Edinburgh)

Role: Project Engineer / Senior Technician (Engineer up to Senior Level)
Salary: Competitive Salary – (based on experience / qualification)
Location: Edinburgh
Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

Ironside Farrar are looking for an ambitious Project Engineer to join our successful civil engineering team, based in Edinburgh. Predominantly working for our key clients in the developer sector.

The successful candidate is likely to have 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, with the ability to plan, deliver and manage workload to ensure delivery of multiple design projects to tight deadlines. Applications are welcome from candidates of all backgrounds and circumstances.

We have operated independently for over 30 years, now with approximately 60 professional and support staff, including 7 Directors. Roles & Responsibilities:

The role requires a confident engineer that can take responsibility for day-to- day running of projects, supporting clients and delivering positive outcomes. They will have a key role in the Edinburgh team – collaborating with staff at all levels, and our clients.

You will be responsible for the production of technical designs, and report writing. This will include detailed design, feasibility studies, drainage strategies, schematic designs, masterplan designs, drawings and specifications for infrastructure projects associated with public and privately funded developments.

Senior Civil Design Engineer

Role: Senior Civil Design Engineer (Engineer / Senior / Associate Level)
Salary: Competitive Salary – (based on experience / qualification)
Location: Glasgow – (flexible home / office working)
Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

Ironside Farrar are looking for an ambitious Senior Civil Design Engineer to join our successful engineering and landscape team, based in Glasgow. Predominantly working for our key local authority clients with a focus on active travel and public realm projects.

The successful candidate is likely to have 8+ years’ experience in a similar role, with the ability to plan, deliver and manage workload to ensure delivery of multiple design projects to tight deadlines. Applications are welcome from candidates of all backgrounds and circumstances.
